Bilingual Entry-Level Game Testers needed for Nintendo of America

Location:  Onsite in Redmond, WA (public transportation accessible)

Schedule:  Day shift, Monday-Friday

This role is responsible for testing first-, second- and third-party titles, and is a key contributor to ensuring they meet Nintendo's rigorous quality standards.

What would you be doing: 

• Conducting ad-hoc/exploratory testing 
• Developing knowledge in Nintendo Platform Guidelines 
• Identifying and reporting quality bugs with consideration for value to the player and development partners 
• Writing and submitting bug reports to the development team 
• Assisting in the completion of project checklists or test suites, as assigned 
• Adhering to corporate prototype security policies and information management procedures 
• Developing understanding of game components and applying effective test methods 

What would make you an ideal candidate? 

• Written and spoken fluency in English is required 
• Written and spoken fluency in one (or more) of the following languages is preferred: French, Spanish, or Portuguese
• Knowledge of Nintendo games and gaming technology (Switch experience required) 
• Familiarity with video game industry, consoles, and games 
• Basic understanding of video game testing purpose 
• Ability to understand broader language context when identifying text errors 
• Ability to analyze a broad range of testing scenarios and convey them in easy-to-understand written reports 
• Ability to use game construct, knowledge of game genres, and testing skills to identify unique bugs 
• Ability to use PC on a continual basis; understanding of PC functionality 
• Familiarity with MS Office 
• Desire to deliver quality results and contribute to team success 
• Results obtained in standard tests for this position must meet minimum requirements established by Nintendo, in accordance with Company policy

Nintendo associates are also required to take a mandatory eight-week break-in service after a maximum of 48 consecutive weeks on the job before they are eligible to return for another up to 48-week period. Actual break dates can be any time between the start of your assignment and this maximum 48-week date.
