**DJ / Disc Jockey** Production Schaumburg, Illinois Minimum Experience **Entry-level** Compensation **$50-$75/hr** Position Summary: MDM Entertainment is looking for outgoing, energetic and personable individuals to perform as DJs and MCs at weddings, corporate and social events. A love of music is a must. We are not your typical cheesy wedding DJ company and are looking for contemporary DJs who can read a crowd and mix well. Nightclub experience is preferred. Experience with weddings and corporate events is also preferred however, we will train the right people. If youve never DJd before but love music and think youve got what it takes, dont worry. We have a thorough training program for new DJs showing you how to be a wedding DJ. You will be responsible for the timely delivery, set up and operation of audio-visual equipment, providing musical entertainment, MC and event coordination services for weddings and special events and maintaining levels of customer service in-line with company vision, values and goals. Job Objectives: Complete required training programs Maintain effective and efficient communication with management via email, telephone and online scheduling software Provide courteous, effective and timely client communication via email and telephone Perform all functions relating to setup and breakdown of required sound and lighting equipment Entertain event guests by performing as master of ceremonies and by providing a well programmed mix of music Maintain a positive company image by providing polite, friendly and efficient customer service Support company programs, best practices and procedures Skills and Attributes: Disc jockey skills including equipment operation and beat mixing Knowledge of a wide variety of musical genres Ability to act as the master of ceremony and adept at public speaking Proficient at setting up, operating and troubleshooting audiovisual systems Outgoing and friendly personality Proven ability to operate under pressure Punctual and reliable Professional and mature attitude Job Requirements: Past experience as a mobile or club disc jockey is preferred but will train the right person Completion of MDM training program Excellent communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team Available to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required Reliable transportation along with a valid drivers license and a good driving record Willingness to travel within a 60 mile radius of Schaumburg Ability to perform physical requirements of position Must be able to lift 50 pounds Able to stand 6-8 hours Location Schaumburg, Illinois Minimum Experience Entry-level Compensation $50-$75/hr
