Firefighter/Paramedic Starting Salary: $67,569 - $70,001 DOQ
The Firefighter/Paramedic is a full-time, benefit-eligible position which includes a full range of benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, and employee health, dental, vision, life, disability, and pension programs.
JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC:
The Firefighter/Paramedic performs difficult protective service work responding to emergency calls, and related work as apparent or assigned. REQUIREMENTS OF THE FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC: Firefighter/Paramedic candidates must be a currently licensed Missouri Paramedic, American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advance Life Support) and ITLS (International Trauma Life Support) or PHTLS (Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support). Firefighter/Paramedic candidates are desired to have St. Louis County Fire Academy certification but not required. Additionally, Firefighter/Paramedic candidates must possess a valid driver's license and high school diploma or GED.
Firefighter/Paramedic candidates must have current CPAT (Candidate Physical Ability Test) certification in lieu of St. Louis County Fire Academy certification or able to be certified prior to start date.
