Flapjack Brewery is located just on the outskirts of downtown Chicago in Berwyn’s historic Depot District. We specialize in small-batch craft beer and wood-fired pizza.

We are looking to add a Part-Time Cook to our team:

Flapjack Brewery in Berwyn is interviewing candidates for an Entry Level Part-time Prep/Line Cook position

Hours:

• Friday's & Saturday's 3:00pm-11:00pm

Key Requirements:

• Understanding and adherence to health codes
• Have a valid Illinois Food Service Sanitation Certification/ or obtain once hired
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure

Responsibilities/Requirements:

• Prepare and execute daily food prep sheets
• Measurement and preparation of ingredients
• Stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of food on the line
• Food preparation and portioning prior to service
• Undertake basic cooking duties
• Work on the Line during dinner services
• Light dishwashing
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment
• Must represent Company Values
• Line cook experience in high-volume full-service environment a plus
• Hard-working and a team player
• Experience with wood fired pizza ovens a plus
• Basic knowledge of professional cooking and experience in knife handling
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions
• Ability to communicate clearly with Guests, Managers and Team Members
• Ability to multi-task and work calmly and effectively under pressure, in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs
• Ability to stand and walk up to 8+ hours per day
• Ability to work within the following conditions: wet floors, temperature extremes, and loud noise
• Ability to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours in length
