We are committed to offering our patients the best care by adding talented healthcare professionals./ppSalary: Starting at $21.00 per hour/ppAt WellNow Urgent Care youll enjoy:/pulliCompetitive salary/liliParental leave/liliContinuing education opportunities/liliMedical benefits, including vision coverage, FSA/HSA options, and prescription drug coverage/lili401(k) plan with a company match for your future financial security/liliFree urgent care visits for you and your immediate family members/liliScrubs provided to ensure a professional and comfortable work environment/liliOpportunities for promotional growth as we continue to expand our presence/liliMonthly bonus based on your performance and productivity/li/ulpEssential Job Functions:/pulliResponsible for taking patient history and obtaining vital signs/liliPerform basic testing or screenings such as: vision, audio, urine drug screens, breath alcohol, EKGs, pulmonary function testing/liliPerform necessary phlebotomy for collection of laboratory samples, if certified/liliAccurately complete corresponding paperwork/computer work for lab tests ordered on blood, urine, tissue and culture samples/liliPerform point of care testing such as: strep, mono, glucose, influenza, Urine pregnancy, Urinalysis, blood glucose levels/liliInsure sterile technique, instrument cleaning and sterilization, proper use of the autoclave/liliSchedule and coordinate necessary records for ancillary care for patients/liliAssist providers with exams and testing (pelvic exams, eye irrigations and ear irrigations, I Ds and splinting/ ortho-glass preparation/liliMaintain confidentiality with all patient information (HIPAA)/liliEnsures equipment is in working order/liliLogs laboratory procedures when completed, processes related paperwork using computer equipment as directed/liliMaintains examination rooms and stocks necessary medical supplies/liliPerforms duties to ensure good patient flow/liliRegistration duties: explain to patients what insurances that are accepted and those that are out of network as well knowledgeable of all pricing - Properly collect and record payments, complete registration screen in a timely manner/liliAccompany the provider to the bedside/liliAccurately and thoroughly documents the patients medical history, physical exam, and procedures/liliCompletes transcription as requested/liliPerform tasks to improve provider efficiency during the course of a shift/liliGreet and registers patients/liliAnswers and appropriately triages phone calls/liliTakes payments for visits/liliPrinting, scanning, and faxing reports/liliOther front desk and cleaning responsibilities as assigned/liliDocument the provider dictated patient history including history of present illness, review of systems, past medical and surgical history, family and social histories, medications and allergies/liliDocument physical examination findings and procedures as performed by the provider/liliScribes the results of laboratory and radiographic studies as dictated by the provider/liliScribes the correct time of patient care related activities/liliCommitted to the specialty of Urgent Care, with a focus on serving our communities with quick, convenient and quality care with continued clinical and patient experience training./li/ulpMinimum Job Qualifications:/pulli1+ years experience in a Patient Care Tech role or equivalent preferred/liliAbility to identify equipment problems and correcting or notifying team leader/liliAbility to apply written instructions and standardized work practices/liliAbility to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, and families/liliAble to withstand physical mental demands: standing, walking, stooping, and bending. Requires ability to move equipment and transfer patients./liliComputer knowledge and skills, must be able to register patients on the computer in a timely manner/liliUp-to-date on injections, and provide documentation, as per OSHA guidelines/liliAbility to complete and maintain CPR certification/liliExcellent listening and note-taking skills/liliAbility to apply written instructions and standardize work practices/liliBasic computer skills, including the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR)/liliDemonstrated ability to type at least 45 words per minute/liliStrong communication skills, including grammatical, spelling and verbal/liliDetail-oriented with proven ability to work effectively under conditions requiring accuracy/liliCapable of working well on a team/liliFriendly and customer service oriented/liliAbility to manage high call volume/li/ulpEducation Qualifications:/pulliHigh School Degree or equivalent required/li/ulpLicensure and Certification Preferences:/pulliEMT Basic certification preferred/liliMedical Assistant certification through one of the preferred following programs:/liliClinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - National Healthcareer Association/liliCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) American Association of Medical Technologists/liliRegistered Medical Assistant (RMA) American Medical Technologists/li/ulpWellNow is an EOE./p/div
