Essential Functions Track, monitor, and communicate current, proposed, and new regulatory changes impacting the business. Independently research regulatory information in alignment with US FDA, USDA, and Canadian and Mexican regulations. Prepare timely and accurate responses to customer regulatory inquiries, including specifications, allergens, labeling, nutrition, claims, GMO, Organic, and other certifications. Create and maintain up‑to‑date regulatory statements. Review and approved finished product specifications, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and labeling for compliance. Conduct regulatory assessments for new ingredients and product launches. Support the Quality team in new supplier approvals. Provide regulatory guidance to cross‑functional teams (R&D, QA, Production, Sales & Marketing, Agriculture). Train internal teams on regulatory topics and updates. Complete additional tasks as assigned to support business needs. Additional Responsibilities Stay current with changes in regulatory legislation and guidelines. Complete all required safety and compliance training on time. Adhere to company procedures, GMPs, PPE requirements, SQF standards, and product quality guidelines. Support and promote the company's Food Safety culture. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field (required). 2–3 years of regulatory compliance experience within the food industry. Experience with ingredient compliance, product compliance, claims, and labeling. Strong knowledge of FDA food regulations. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. High attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of Canadian and Mexican regulations (preferred, not required). Spanish fluency (preferred, not required).
