Pediatric Therapeutic Services (PTS) is seeking a School Psychologist to provide school-based services for a local school district New Castle, Delaware.

\nThis position will be split between 2 schools, 1 elementary school and 1 high school.

• We offer competitive rates with compensation for direct and indirect time. Such as, treatment sessions, documentation, meeting attendance, and report writing.\n\t
• This is a 1099 Independent contracting position, allowing for greater flexibility. \n\t
• PTS provides consistent on-site and off-site mentorship with Clinical Directors and Team Leaders.\n\t
• School-Based Academy: We provide the support and community that a new School-Based therapist needs to feel comfortable and to be successful.\n\t
• Lending Library: PTS recognizes the additional expenses in providing evaluation for materials. We have an extensive library of testing tools and assessments for therapist to borrow as needed.\n

\n Responsibilities: \n\n

\n\t
• Demonstrates positive, collaborative problem-solving orientation with students, parents and guardians, educators, administrators, community members, and colleagues.\n\t
• Provides core services including prevention, consultation, intervention, assessment, and counseling which are adapted to the particular needs of each student, situation, and setting.\n\t
• Conducts comprehensive psychological evaluations.\n\t
• Completes written psychological evaluations for individual students in accordance with State and Federal regulations.\n\t
• Completes functional behavior assessments, develops behavior interventions plans, and collaborates with teams to gather data and monitor progress.\n\t
• Makes appropriate referrals to resources to facilitate educational and behavioral interventions recommended for student success.\n\t
• Receives and reviews available developmental information from school and outside resources about student(s) and recommends research-based interventions and strategies.\n\t
• Accurately administers, scores, and interprets psychological measures of intelligence, personality, behavior, achievement, adaptive functioning, and developmental maturity.\n\t
• Delivers crisis response and intervention services to students, families and staff, when needed.\n\t
• Maintains case records on all referred students.\n\t
• Conducts individual, group, or facilitative therapy for children whose diagnosed problems would benefit from behavior modification.\n\t
• Attends case conferences on placement of individual students.\n\t
• Serves as a consultant on mental health topics for instructors in the school health program.\n\t
• Cooperates with the personnel of community health and social welfare agencies.\n\t
• Attends staff, professional, and interagency meetings.\n\t
• Assists with in-service training of school personnel.\n\t
• Keeps abreast of new developments and research in the field.\n\t
• Other duties assigned by the Supervisor of Special Programs or Building Principal as it pertains to the position of Psychologist.\n
