Founder and President of Sparling Construction Co., Inc.  Mr. Sparling is in charge of all business operations associated with the company.  With over 40 years of experience in the industry he is knowledgeable in estimating, project management, contract negotiation, and all aspects of construction activities in the field.  He oversees all office staff, project estimating, and financial planning for our firm.  He is also involved with negotiating projects with new and repeat clients.

John Guldemann

John Guldemann joined Sparling Construction in the Spring of 2019.  John is an experienced heavy civil estimator and project manager with over 14 years’ experience here in New Mexico. He has worked on a variety of projects types ranging from NMDOT, FAA, FTA, and numerous municipalities throughout New Mexico.  He is experienced with large infrastructure projects and has managed number of airfield , highway, residential, and industrial construction applications. He enjoys complex multifaceted projects and has a proven track record of bringing in projects on time and on budget. John spends a lot of time designating project resources, monitoring progress, and keeping both internal and external stakeholders informed of the project throughout its life.

Thirty five years experience managing up to 30+ personnel with all aspects of job-site construction.  Responsible for working with owners, project managers, developers, crews, and municipal inspectors in all facets of the construction process.  Directly responsible for quality assurance throughout the life of the project.

Vice President of Sparling Construction Co., Inc.  Mr. Wylie is in charge of all field operations associated with the company.  With over 40 years of experience in the industry he is very knowledgeable in project management, contract negotiation, and logistics of building several different types of projects.  Mr. Wylie also leads our safety team in insuring that all of our job sites are abiding by OSHA and MSHA standards. He manages projects in value from $20K through $6M in excavation, underground utilities, sewer lift stations, well pumps and buildings, water booster stations, drainage structures, and drainage pipe.  Mr. Wylie also corresponds with engineers and owners for project progress, change order processes, and project ramp-up and closeout.

Michele Zebrowski is a native New Mexican.  She was born in Las Cruces and has lived in Albuquerque most of her life.  She is a graduate of the Anderson School of Management at UNM and is CPA.  She has a diverse background having worked in several industries. 

Michele joined Sparling Construction Company in the fall of 2017.  She has a wealth of knowledge in construction accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivables, and all payroll functions.  Michele enjoys identifying problems and creating solutions.

Gerald Sanchez

Gerald Sanchez

Equipment Manager/ Shop Foremen

Gerald Sanchez has been Sparling Construction Company’s shop foremen for over 20 years.  Gerald is responsible for maintaining our fleet of equipment to OSHA safety standards.  He is also responsible for ensuring all equipment is operational and is ready for mobilization for new and existing projects.  Gerald coordinates equipment deliveries with management and field supervisors to ensure there is limited down time on all projects.

Susan Boothe

Administrative Assistant/ Project Coordinator

Susan is responsible for working with project managers and engineers regarding project correspondence (submittals, purchase orders, contracts, e-mails, and RFI’s).  Susan assists our Project Manager with anything needed on the project.  She is also responsible for payroll and HR paperwork.
